Mission:
Educate: The Arts Partnership’s “Arts in Education” programs allow students in the area to participate in workshops, performances and camps, building relationship skills and gaining first-hand experience in theater and the arts. Students and teachers can also experience day-time entertainment through their “School Day Performances.”
Enrich: Through personal/professional enrichment development programs and classes, teachers and caregivers alike can broaden their horizons inside and outside of the classroom. Programs are centered around non-conventional teaching methods, encouraging students by means not found in a traditional classroom.
Entertain: The Arts Partnership strives to provide Hancock and surrounding counties with quality entertainment year round. From their pillar summer events (KidsFest, Boogie on Main, Riverside Wine Festival, RibOff and ArtWalk) To their performing arts series beginning every autumn, they make sure that there is always something to do in Findlay.

Hancock County Red Cross

125 Fair St.
Findlay, OH 45840
(419) 422-9322
www.hancockredcross.org
Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.
Today, in addition to domestic disaster relief, the American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five other areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs.
The American Red Cross is where people mobilize to help their neighbors—across the street, across the country, and across the world—in emergencies. Each year, in communities large and small, victims of some 70,000 disasters turn to neighbors familiar and new—the more than half a million volunteers and 35,000 employees of the Red Cross. Through over 700 locally supported chapters, more than 15 million people gain the skills they need to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their homes, communities and world.
Some four million people give blood—the gift of life—through the Red Cross, making it the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States. And the Red Cross helps thousands of U.S. service members separated from their families by military duty stay connected. As part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, a global network of 186 national societies, the Red Cross helps restore hope and dignity to the world's most vulnerable people.
An average of 91 cents of every dollar the Red Cross spends is invested in humanitarian services and programs. The Red Cross is not a government agency; it relies on donations of time, money, and blood to do its work.
Locally, The Hancock County Chapter of the American Red Cross was chartered on April 12, 1917. The Hancock County Chapter provides Preparedness training, Health and Safety training, Service to the Armed Forces and Military Families, Blood Services. Learn more about their current programming and schedule of events at

The Western Lake Erie Regions services 24 hospitals in Northwest Ohio and Southeaster Michigan, and has a donor office in Findlay.
March is Red Cross Month
Volunteers thanked, public encouraged to donate blood
For the American Red Cross, March is a time to say thank you to the countless volunteers and blood donors across the state and nation who help change lives by giving of themselves. It’s also a time to encourage individuals to get involved through the 130-year-old organization.
March is Red Cross Month and has been since 1942 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared the month of March 1943 as “Red Cross Month.” Every spring since then, the U.S. President has issued a proclamation that declares March as Red Cross Month, and encourages people to support and volunteer through the Red Cross.
Today, Red Cross Month celebrates the more than 500,000 Red Cross volunteers at 650 Chapters, working in areas like disaster relief, health and safety training, and support to military members and their families. Nearly 4 million people, too, roll up their sleeves to donate blood through Red Cross blood drives coordinated through a network of 36 Blood Regions.
“Chances are, wherever you live or wherever you go, you’re likely to encounter someone whose life has been touched by the American Red Cross,” said Annie Marckel, Communications Manager for the Western Lake Erie Region of the American Red Cross. “We’re proud to be an organization of people who band together to help their neighbors—be they next door or around the world.”
Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.
Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org for more information on blood donation and donating blood through the American Red Cross. You can also check out social media and join the conversation at facebook.com/redcrossblood.
